Seviche raw fish delicacy

I used to live in Panama, and my father used to make a very dish called sevichie or cevichie (?).
It is raw fished marionated in lime or lemon juice with garlic, oniions, peppers, etc. Receipes vary.
Just made some from yeelowfin tuna and it is good! Brought back memories, too,
Anyone ever try it?
