I used Comfort Keepers to stay with my mother while I was at work. They were highly recommended to me by a co-worker. A lot depends on which CNA you get. We were very happy with the majority of the people that came, but there were a couple that came by a few times that I had to call and ask that they not send anymore. One of them decided she was going to clean out my mother's cabinets, which was a very nice and generous thought, but she ended up breaking several things. She also burned up a hot pad by leaving it on a hot stove burner. This was the worst case, by far. As I said, most of their staff is very professional. I think it's easier on the "patient" if the staffing is consistent, but I realize that the same people aren't always available.
I ended up hiring 2 of the CNAs that were my mother's favorites. We set up our own schedule and that worked out pretty well unless there was bad weather or one of them was sick, etc. Then it fell on me to fill in for them.
Good luck and be glad it's only temporary. Looking at this sort of thing longterm is not a fun thing. Mom (and Dad for a short time) had it for 3+ years.
