I received this email from a volunteer with Bully Paws Rescue. I suspect that Sonja is at the Spotsylvania shelter, but I'm not sure. I also have several photos of Sonja that I will be happy to share via email.
Quote: My name is Elizabeth and I am a volunteer with a Pit bull Rescue. This past Saturday we were at the local shelter picking up the bully breed dogs to take them to an shelter adoption event we hold every other weekend to try to get the dogs as much exposure as possible to try to help find them home! While we were there the transporters came across this beautiful young female black with white on chest Mastiff that was named SONJA. She came into the shelter as a stray and is now off of her stray hold and is available NOW. SONJA is located in a Rural shelter that is NOT a no kill shelter if space becomes critical then they have to make some hard decisions. Hence the reason I am reaching out to you. Sonja is estimated to be around 3 yrs old and is Extremely friendly and wants to meet and greet all and everyone she can. She has a wonderful energy and is very playful. When she was being evaluated there were no signs of any aggression with people or other dogs. Not sure how she is around cats. Sonja is just awesome with everyone and everything that we could see. She dose seem to have a growth on her eye but doesn't appear to be in pain with it as you can tell from the pictures. She can see out of the eye. She is thought to wiegh about 80-85 lbs.
