Hi everyone,
I'm temporarily moving to the Manassas, VA area in about 2-3 weeks for a 2-month work assignment. I'm 25 years old. What's there to do in the area?

Welcome to Va. !!! You will be here right at the beginning of the BAKING season !! That is 90+ temp days with EXTREME humidity...
Manassas is nice.......ok some parts of Manassas are nice......ok....there is one area of Manassas that's nice..do you speak Spanish ??.
Where are you coming from ???
Depending on where...THERE IS ANYTHING YOU WANT TO DO IN NOVA (Northern Va.) Wolfe Trap and Jiffy Lube Pavilion have big name live concerts..Plus probably 10-12 smaller venues. Google Live Nation tickets...
You will be 1 hr from DC !!! If from far away, don't waste this opportunity...Nationals Baseball tickets are easy to get..unfortunately..There are museums and a BEAUTIFUL National Zoo...which we call The Capitol !!! lol
There are the monuments and The National mall (not what you think)...
If you are a History Buff then you are moving into HEAVEN !!!Civil War Heaven that is...Manassas== Bull Run !!! Gettysburg is very close, plus Chancellorsville (Stonewall Jackson) and Fredericksburg are closer..
East Coast = Beaches....some of the best..Rehobeth Beach, Atlantic City, Va Beach (largest resort area IN THE WORLD), OBX (Outer Banks of N.C...you will see these stickers on the back windows of cars) Naggs Head and Kitty Hawk (Wright Brothers first flight)
Baltimore, Md is about 2 hrs away...The Oriels are playing..and there is The Inner Harbor.. A renovated water front area that could be a day trip too.
Kings Dominion is a HUGE amusement park 30 mins south of Fredericksburg..it is an all day trip and a good time if you like Roller coasters and rides..We used to pack a lunch and keep in a cooler in the car and come out to eat...VERY expensive to eat in the park..
Actually I don't think 2 months is long enough...there is TOOO MUCH to do !!!! Have a Blast !!!

You didn't say where you were from; if you are from west va, the age of consent here is different. What MF says is gospel, just don't buy his muscle relaxer.
