To ALL who have followed my posts please sit down and prepare yourselves for what I have to say.... WAY TO GO BEACH AUTHORITY (whomever is responsible) for FINALLY doing something with the building in Rankins parking lot.... Finally something to CHEER about at the Beach, it's long overdue but at the same time IT'S A GREAT START!!!...Thank-You!!

Don't know to whom the credit is due...........doubt seriously if the town govt had anything to do with it..................likely the USPS finally got around to fixing the sign......................and the developer that has been slowly renovating the shopping center is merely moving forward on whatever long-term vision he/she has for their property......guess if the town is due any credit, it's for making the permit process no more aggravating than it already must be to conform with existing state/local laws/ordinances. what I'm looking for from the town in the part of effort is signs that they have figured out a way to competently manage the parks/playgrounds and get them ready for summer so we don't have to go thru another Castlewood Park fiasco.

I believe some sort of eatery is going into the spot at Rankins??... We'll take whatever we can get, it will offer a few local job opportunities and eliminate an eyesore as well.....THANKS!!!!

NO, Rankins isn't going anywhere (Thankfully)... The dilapidated building in the parking lot is getting a makeover and will become some sort of eatery....If rumor is true..

That would be really nice. I know they put a bakery in there. Heard some good things about it I think the rent is so high in there it is hard for businesses. Oh and now that the Movie Gallery is closing that leaves 2 spots by foodlion I don't know about you but I am pulling for a Subway

I went in to check out the bakery. Nice kids but I have to say, I can pay a lot less for a more professional looking cake and less on Itilian bread in a store in Fedburg, for my husband to pick up. They need to lower their prices then I will consider buying from them. Good looking bread though, have not see any like that sense we lived in NY. Pies look great, too high though, cookies, too high. Probably like you say though, if rent is high they have to do it. One more thing, stop with the clorox go green, better for visitor to come and sit and eat there.
Sorry guys, I would like to see it succeed, but I can't afford you.
