Artie only trades her stuff for cash. Gift cards are cash. I wish the FLS would stop this trade for cash stuff. It's a lame attempt to circumvent the rules.
Hopefully one day someone makes a trade with her and the gift card has $0 on it.

D.A., I usually don't get into any bickers on here, but I have a legitimate question, and am trying to understand. It's funny (but not ha ha) that there was another posting in this trading post forum, and I quoted it below, that also mentions a gift card, but yet no one bashed that poster about it. I'm not wanting to cause trouble, just trying to understand. Is there some sort of double standard? Can anyone explain this please? Thanks.

P.S. I'm sure that many people receive gift cards to places/restaurants that they don't frequent, or don't like and maybe other people do, and would gladly like the opportunity to trade for something else instead of it going to waste. Just a thought, and I see nothing wrong with that.

There is some difference. For the Total Gym she said she loves Wal-Mart gift cards, but never stated that was the only thing she would trade for.
Artie states that gift cards are the only thing she'll trade for.
Either way, if you want money or scrip, take out an ad or list it on ebay.

There was no mention of any trades. In fact there were these two statements made: "on sale today" and "price reduced ....i just want it gone". Again, I ask why no one complained/bashed. Not that I wished that upon her, as I have nothing against anyone, just curious as to why it seems to be a double standard here in this case. Like I said earlier, just trying to understand and not cause trouble.

Since I was the one who mentioned it in this post, I am the one with the double standard if anyone is to take that blame.
Perhaps I singled this time out because it seems that every time Artie puts something in here, it seems that she never wants to actually trade stuff, but rather have scrip in the form of gift cards.
It's bad form in my opinion and seems to go against what the trading post is for.
I shall now chastise Spunky to keep Artie from feeling singled out. Shame on you Spunky, shame on you!

To Spunky, I am sorry if it seemed as though I singled you out personally. That was not my intention at all. I was just trying to understand what was going on in this particular case, and presented your previous post only to get my point across, not to get you into trouble.
To D.A., I appreciate your honest answer, however in the "read the rules" post it says to let an admin know if you see the rule violated. That being said, IMO it should be left up to them to make the call. Again, thank you for your explanation.

by the way, I would gladly trade for an el camino. Just sayin'.
