I think they were bought out and Petty enterprises closed but is still open in some form under a different name. I also read they layed off 70 of their people in the last few days.

they sold out back in June. On a brighter note - on the news tonight they said that RIR is dropping ticket prices, and for season tickets you don't have to buy both nights of racing.
